REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ADVERTISEMENT LAYOUT

Advertisements for the magazine are accepted only in digital form.
The advertisement layout should be in the form of a file that does not need any modifications nor revisions, meeting the following requirements:
Advertisement layout before page cutting 240х307 mm. Size of page is 230х297 mm.
Text and important parts of images must be not closer than 5 mm to the border and 10 mm to the spine. Protrude area image, that oversteps the limits of trimming format should be no less than 5 mm.
Spread image (make up as 2 full pages) should be in trimming format limits and form a correct image if combined to the area of trimming. Little parts of illustration should be positioned not further than 6 mm from the middle (3 mm for each page).
Accepted file formats are:
MAC/PC: *.indd, *.qxd, *.ai, *.eps (except for DCS 2.0), *.tiff (preferably). For the layout formats *.indd, *.qxd should be given separately all the type fonts used in publication and OPIimages. In the layout formats *.ai, *.eps all text-fonts should be converted to curves. In the file-names white space should be replaced by underscore character (_). Also in file-names are not allowed any cyrillic characters or special symbols (!,>,*.%,&,/,(,),=,?,@,^).
CorelDraw and Word layouts are not accepted!
All bitmap images (CMYK 8 bits per channel or Grayscale, 300 dpi) must be given separately in TIFF, Photoshop EPS. Files with idle alpha channels and paths are also not acceptable.
All colours used in advertisement are to be converted into a colour model CMYK Process (the correct ICC-profile for colour separation can be obtained in the editorial office) and those of combined files are to be checked up.
For a rich-black on wide print areas there should be Black — 100%, Cyan — 50%, Magenta — 50%, and Yellow — 30%. Total ink limit should be 300%, ink reproduction range — 5-97%.
Hairline-sized lines are not accepted, line weight not less than 0.25 pt.
All fonts should be given separately or converted to outlines.
Files are accepted either on CD-ROMs, DVD+-ROM (-R, -RW), USB storage devices, Flash cards (SD, MMC, XD, CF), or via uploading to ftp-server.
